Question by  cassie (12)

How do I prevent my water turtles from fighting?

I have four water turtles that fight a great deal of time, I am afraid that they will hurt each other.

Maybe you should try separating them. Maybe leave two together and separate the other two. If they keep fighting like that you are liable to have a dead turtle or two.

They WILL eventually hurt each other. You can't prevent them from fighting unless you seperate them. Your tank is probably too small for all four turtles and it's causing friction.

actually forget what i said about the temperature. they should always have it at 78-80 degrees or they could die because they're cold-blooded and need the extra heat. try feeding them a little more or offer more variety in their diet.

my RES were fighting and the bully kept hanging around the heater. try turning the temperature down if it's above 75. Babies should have it around 78-80, but adults should be kept in 68-72 water. i have two babies and the one kept snapping at the other's head
