That depends on what location the blisters are located. The most common type of blisters are located on hands from doing manual labor. You can prevent these and most other types of blisters by washing the area thoroughly and moisturizing very well. Putting a bandage over the area will help to reduce inflammation.

In people with normal skin, blisters may result from several different causes including friction, burns, and allergies like poison ivy. Friction is the most common, and it can be prevented by avoiding rubbing on the skin or by applying protective material to the skin.

Most blisters are caused by rubbing or 2nd degree burns. Therefore, for prevention try covering skin that has been rubbed against with a band aid to reduce risk of blistering. Burn blisters can only be prevented by practicing good safety.

Try not to touch the blistered area, it will either make it worse or spread it. Keep the area moisurized. Drink plenty of water and take vitamins. Don't kiss people on the mouth.
