To find sponsors your best bet is to find a manager to work with you. A manager's entire job is booking paying jobs for you and to make sure you are competing at the best level. The initial cost may be high but will be worth it in the long run.

You need to have your coaches sponsor you with fundraisers and get your name out in the public. You need to be in the newspapers and on local television. Maybe they can have a telethon and have a famous person be the host. Your school and church can also help publicize your cause.

Go around to businesses, ones that you may know the owners are the best and tell them that you're going to take part in figure skating. Tell them you need sponsors and ask if they'd like to contribute. Not all will want to so don't be discouraged. Just take a day out of your schedule and go around to businesses.

Go to local skating or athletics related businesses and offer to do promotions for them in exchange for sponsorship. This could be doing advertisements, recommendations, or even commercials for their skates, clothes, skating rink or gear.
