I love using a large dry erase board. It can be redone every week or if you want to change a chore or reward. We use a week long promise, where each child is given their own area of the board. I also use removeable stickers. It is a way for you to save money.

All you need to make a reward chart is a block of construction paper, some magic markers and some colorful stickers. Use the markers to mark out the children's names on 4 seperate sheets of paper. Write down the chores that you want them to do, and other things. Everytime they do good, mark it with a sticker!

For young children, simple is best. Take pictures of what you want them to do or use clip art. For example a toothbrush for teethburshing. Give them a simple star each time the activity is completed. Rewards should be simple also and are best when they include time with you such as an extra bedtime story or a board game.

Take a piece of poster board or make a spreadsheet in Excel. Make a row for each task to be completed and have columns for the days of the week. Select a color code for each child and when the task is complete mark with the color for that child.
