While it's not hard it does require knowledge of sewing. you just need to measure out your dimensions, and be sure to allow for extra room to tuck into the couch cushions on the sides and back. Then pin and sew the whole thing together and if you want, buy a pvc pipe to fit behind the cover for stability.

Make an inexpensive muslin mock-up of your slipcover before you cut into your slipcover fabric. Once the mock-up has been properly fitted. Some types of chairs it is very better.

You can find patterns and instructions online for free or you could find them any where that sells sewing patterns. They generally are not hard as they have few seams.
