Start out with a simple board thats made out of hard wood. Make sure the wood is sanded down for easy of movement. for the lettering its best to use a wood burning kit. burning the wood will make the wood easyer to sand down and giving it a classic look. for the slider the same procces.

By the time you buy the materials to make your own ouija board, you will spend more then it is worth, plus you need the shuttle thing. If you believe in ouija boards then I would think it needs to be made correctly. Go buy the game.

to construct an oija boars you would need some deep wood and a carving utensil to carve the letters of alphabet in it
