Keep the cotton in the right position and the iron should be kept under the cotton instruction , then sprinkle some water on it specially where there is wrinkles and then start ironing it. Remember the iron should be high hot for cotton clothes.

Most effective is a to thoroughly dampen a white handkerchief, place it over the item, then hot iron it through the damp fabric. The white handkerchief will prevent scorching.

One trick I use is to put cotton materials into the dryer. Put the cotton material into the dryer for about 20 minutes on permanent press. It usually works very well and removes the wrinkle or atleast reduces it. Then take out the iron. Lay out the material flat and work through the crease on a low setting.

While taking a hot shower, you can hang the shirt in the bathroom and that will ease out the wrinkles. Tried and tested!

I would do this the old fashion way. Dampen the cotton and roll up to be sure that it all get damp. Unrole and iron. With a dry iron.
