Microsoft Word is not free, so if you do not have a CD, you will need to buy it off Microsoft's Website. I would recommend you get OpenOffice it's free!

Insert the DVD if the disk doesn't read immediately go to the start bar and click run. Follow the prompts of the installation and click finished when done. If you Downloaded the copy then you will have to find where it is and double click it. Then follow the prompts.

The disc that you received when you purchased Microsoft Word should have an auto-run feature. When you insert the installation disc, the installation program should begin automatically. All you need to do is follow the prompts, and it should install.
