How do I install flooring in the attic?

Firstly make sure you have an attic. If you do then decide whether the flooring should hold the weight of things you will store there of if you will want the floor to be something of a cat-walk, basically to move yourself around in that space. Next hire a contractor and tell him what you decided on.

First you need to put the support flooring on the rafters and the put the finish flooring on top of it.

Carefully, keeping in mind these floors won't withstand much weight unless reinforced. Start with adding subflooring over existing rafters, ensuring sturdy beams. Lay flooring in tile sections for easy repair.
