Bed wetting in a six year old is not uncommon. Always make sure they go to the bathroom before putting them to bed and don't let them drink too many liquids before bedtime. If the situation is chronic then you should consider a trip to the doctor to make sure there is not a more serious issue.

Talk to his pediatrician about this problem that he is having. It's not always the child's fault. Medical issues can cause your child to have a weak bladder. Make sure he doesn't have a lot of water before bed and get him some Pull-ups for at night to help contain the mess.

Teach your child to be more aware of his or her surroundings. Also, if he or she is going outside, tell them some safety procedures they should follow to avoid getting hurt. Ie. wear a helmet and knee pads when riding a bike

Probably the first thing you can do for your child is to constantly remind them to slow down and not rush around so much.
