Your hand may need to be kept from moving. Your doctor may give you pain pills to help with the pain. Ask your doctor about giving you a hand splint. This will keep your hand and fingers from moving, if he approves, and help speed up the healing process more quickly.

Other than the obvious pain killers, use a brace that holds the wrist still. When you move your wrist, the bones in your hand move as well, causing needless pain.

To get rid of the pain it is advisable to not move the affected hand temporarily. It will be also wise if you put a dressing or splint to avoid it from moving too much. Also apply a warm compress to the affected site to lessen pain and by doing this from time to time the circulation will also improve.

To help get rid of the pain in your hand due to a bone injury you must avoid things that will cause your hands to inflame like exposure to heat, too much hand activity and pressure on hand. Try to elevate your hand from 15-20 minutes a day. Cold compression will also help to alleviate the pain. Also pain relievers.

Warm, dry weather is a good way to prevent the resurgence of random pains due to previous injuries. It's helpful if the pain is worth moving away from.
