How do I go about resetting the security system on a Nissan Quest?

You either need to reset the fuse for the security system, or you need to disconnect the positive battery terminal, turn the car on, then reattach the terminal.

I think we can reset the Nissan Quest by just unplugging the battery from the car. Plug it back in after about a minute and the whole system would be reset.

This vehicle is set in hazard indicator and horn mode when you first receive the vehicle. In hazard indicator and horn mode, when the LOCK button is pushed, the hazard indicator flashes twice and the horn chirps once. When the UNLOCK button is pushed, the hazard indicator flashes once. If hazard indicator and horn mode is not necessary.

To my knowledge, the best way to reset the security system on a Nissan Quest is to unplug the battery cables from the battery of the car, wait about 30 seconds, then reconnect the battery cables to the battery of the car. This resets the whole car.
