The best time to replant roses is in the early spring. Dig a hole 2 times as wide and deep than the root ball. Put some of the fluffy soil back in the hole and place the rose with soil. Build a dam around the plant and water well.

When you transplant a rosebush you need to be careful. Dig around and be careful not to cut the roots. Dig the bush out with all the roots and replant.

Dig up the plant, and a 1-1. 5 foot of earth and roots at the base of the plant. You can shake or loosen most of the dirt off, as it will help the roots grow more rapidly in the new location. Replant and pack the soil around the roots looseley. Water thouroughly at this time.
