Do not wear nylon underwear. Avoid petroleum based lubricants. Do not use harsh bath soap or body wash. Do not use perfumed products, especially avoiding perfumed toilet paper. Eat a cup of yogurt once daily.

While cleanliness is the most obvious of preventative methods for yeast infections, surprisingly what we eat has a great impact. Eat two or three servings of yogurt daily.

It is important to keep the area clean, dry, and airy. Some ways of doing this is to wear underwear made from cotton and not synthetic materials. Second, do not wear tight underwear or pants. Third, avoid irritants such as douches, and scented products on the area. finally, remeber to wipe from front to bath after using the bathroom.
