How do I go about paper training my dog?

Use a crate and take the dog to the paper when it goes. Be consistent and keep it on the paper when you are gone. Congratulations on the cute puppy!

Start with putting the newspaper by the door, every time the dog goes to the bathroom, direct it towards the newspaper. Once the dog learns to go on the newspaper, take the newspaper outside and direct the dog to go outside. Once the dog learns that ouside is good, take the newspaper away.

If you go to your local pet store they have puppy training pads (they are blue and white). They worked wonderfully for me when I was potty trained my puppy, he learned in no time! They are a lot more sanitary and they don't leak through like newspaper does!

Use puppy training pads and "Go Spot Go". Put some of the liquid on the pad. When the puppy has to "go", bring the puppy over to the spot.

Whenever I got a new puppy I would either use a newspaper or the pads sold in the pet store and i would leave a treat nearby for them.
