Websites like "Exotic Animals for sale" can put you in touch with breeders in your area, and allow you to talk with people who have dealt with them in the past. It is also a good idea to do some research about kinkajous before making your purchase, so you know what you are getting into beforehand.

I would Google 'kinkajou breeders' first. Follow your search up by phoning the breeders and asking about the bloodlines, possible genetic defects and health concerns, and try to get names of people who've purchased kinkajous from them before. You could also talk to your vet about kinkajous. This will also tell you if your vet is qualified to treat them.

Ask at the pet store, check on Google, ask at the SPCA, ask other kinjajou owners and talk about it amongst friends. Check references and consider how the price fits in reference to other breeders. Too cheap likely means they are a breeding mill.

the first place to start would be the phone book or online. i would gather up names. next i would check with local pet shops and see if they can point you in the right direction.
