We just planted a jalapeno plant in our garden and it was the easiest one to grow. Just pick up some seeds or a jalapeno plant make sure it is the right time to plant it, if your planting it outdoors. And dig a whole the size of the pot and place in the ground, and water.

Jalapeno's are great if you don't have a lot of place to plant them. You can plant them in pots. Just put the seed in the ground and water.

Buy jalapeno starts (small plants) from your local garden center and plant them in a sunny location, about 1 1/2 feet apart. Pepper plants, including jalapenos, like the heat and full sunshine. Be sure that your soil contains adequate compost, manure and a general fertilizer for vegetables. Avoid soil that doesn't drain well and be sure to water regularly.

Start from seed indoors about 10 weeks before planting outside. When there is no longer concern about frost, plant outside in a very sunny spot.
