There are a lot of green site dedicated to improving your eco-knowledge. There are also a lot of television shows that also provide information on how to be greener.

If you live in a state with deregulated energy, switch your energy provider to one that generates energy primarily from renewable sources such as wind or solar. One of the best ways is to invest in solar panels. But you need to talk to city hall in your area and find out of they are allowed.

Conserving energy is the best way to begin. Seal cracks in your house, place plastic over your windows in winter, block heat loss under doors, adjust your thermostat lower.
