Unfortunatly the test is required to join the armed services. It is one of the only things that can not be waived. The services use this test to place you in a field of work that gives you and the service the best chance of success. Go talk to your local recruiter, the test is not that bad.

You have to take the ASVAB before you can get a waiver. A waiver is for people who do not score high enough for entry.

There are no waivers available to get out of taking the ASVAB. Your scores are used for a variety of things including your aptitude for certain military careers.

If you want to join the military, you have no choice. Taking the test is required, unless you are accepted into ROTC or a service academy to become an officer.

You must take the ASVAB in order to enter any branch of the military on the enlisted side. If you do not want to take the time to take the ASVAB, the military may not be the right answer for you. The ASVAB is a simple test that judges your basic knowledge.

While there is a waiver for just about anything in the military, this is one thing that is not. Just study up on some things before hand, relax, and don't worry. If youthink you can do better later in your career, then you will be able to retake it.

There's no way around the ASVAB. Waivers are sometimes issued for certain reasons if your score is too low, but not a waiver to not take the test at all.
