Go to any major discount store (like Walmart) or auto parts store. They have a special glue that will adhere the mirror to the windshield. I'm sure it's on the packaging directions also, but don't forget to clean and dry the windshield area where the mirror is going before glueing.

An ordinary glue will not work to hold the mirror in place. Aside the faact that it is heavy you also have to take into consideration the glass. Not all glues stick well to glass. You have to find a super glue made for use on glass.

To glue a mirror to a windshield ones has to use special UV adhesive, that hardens by direct sunlight or ultra-violet light from a special lamp. This kind of glue forms a molecular bind with the glass and is the best solution.

You would have to find special (epoxy) glue to glue the mirror to the windshield. The easiest way is to buy special kit for gluing mirror in the car shop.
