apart from manual weed pulling in the case of onion grass herbicides can make the task much simplier. Apply your herbicide with a wick and await the effect. repeat process to gain desired result as needed. if onion grass persists continue treatment. onion grass can be a real nusciance but strong herbicides can remedy.

You will have to pull it up by the roots. Then you will have to get some weed killer and spray it down. It will kill any other grass on the lawn too. Wait a month, then dig up the area and plant some new grass seed over it.
