How do I get my guppies to mate?

Make sure you have a male and female, check the fin on the underside of the fish. On a female it looks like a typical fanlike fin. On a male it looks like a stick pointing to the tail. Might want to make sure tank temp is 72-78 degrees too.

Breeding guppies is fairly simple. Make sure you keep the water filtered and clean, for healthy fish. You should keep more females than males in the tank. There should be floating fake plants and other places for the baby fish to hide. The adults will eat the small fish if there isn't hiding places for them.

Successfull mating needs two to three females to one male guppy. Do not have more than two males in the tank. Also, PH balance can be a factor, check regularly.

Well take them to a nice reastuant, no cheap ones, then you go out and buy them a nice exspenive bottle of wine, get them hamerd and leave the room and let them do there magic.

Male guppy has a long pointed anal fin to transfer sperm to the female. Females have the ability to carry viable sperm for up to six months and mate each other
