We started with a truck and a welding machine- not much is needed. Within a year had 8 guys and 3 trucks. Economy hit us good but hope to get it up and running again. Just watch your expenses and get an account with gts or a supplier for your oxy. and acytl. Do need gl ins. though.
You should talk with your high school guidance counselor. Or, check the local community colleges in your area, call them, and find out if they offer welding programs.
