If you are trying to adopt from the state you have to be pre qualified from social services. They will do a background check, that you are financially stable to support a child and have a stable home life

You have to start with your state laws. In our state we contact our local social service office and they will have a family or person complete a class on parenting and inspect the home to determine the home enviroment. The process usually takes 1-3 months.

I am not truly sure how to get consent through adoption. I am sure there are answers to this question at your pediatricians office or doctors office. That would be a reliable source.
