How do I fix an electric window that will not roll down?

It's a 1992 Ford Explorer.

When this happened to me, I took the inside plastic cover off the door (it can usually be pried off with a screwdriver) and went searching for a wire that had either come loose or was broken. I reconnected the broken wire, taped it up, and it worked after that.

The Ford Explorer is an easy window to fix. Remove the door panel using a screwdriver. Once inside locate the motor on the lower left hand side and remove the bolts holding it in. Replace with a new motor unit.

The first thing to do is check the fuse. If that is find then check the window switch with a multimeter. If that is also fine then you need to check the window motor. Apply voltage to the motor with a 9volt battery and see if it move both directions.

Wow...bad year for cars. Most cars build that year have a very low always working rate. If its your only car than try to get parts from junkyards.
