For a rusty panel like a rocker you will need to install a patch panel. Start by cutting out all the old rusty metal. Cut back to sturdy clean metal. Then either make a patch panel or buy one if they are available. Clean off as much rust as possible and treat the area. Then weld in your panel.

Rust or molding on a vehicle is impossable to fix. Buying spary's or mixer's can only just make you sick and breathless. I find it easier to replace the panel or simply fabricate your own.

If the rust is severe, buy a replacement rocker panel and weld it in. Then use putty to smooth it and paint it. If not, just sand it and paint.

Remove as much rusted metal as possible and then clean the off the loose rust. Use a converter or encapsulater and then weld in a patch panel.

The rocker panel on a grand prix is held in with regular screws that must to removed to take the rocker panel off. Once the panel is off clean the underneath area and install the new rocker panel.

The only permanent solution to severe body rust it to completely remove the affected area. Only then can a new piece be welded in and bodywork done.
