How do I fix a Ford error code 1381?

Sounds like the egr valve. Just get one at the local parts house and replace it. Its kinda tricky but located infront of the driver if the hood is popped.

This code does vary depending on the model of the vehicle. But it usually has to do with the valve timing overhead control valve. Usually, most of these parts are located within in the distributor and I would highly recommend replacing that to start with. Do a google search as the code definition changes depending on the model.

Sounds like an electronic problem with your cars electrical board. You've either blown a fuse or your battery is going out. This is a fairly difficult repair, if you consider yourself a novice i would recommend either consulting your car manual, or seeking the help of a licensed mechanic to-be safe.

P1381 Cam Timing Advance is excessive, try replacing the cam sensor if that does not fix the problem, get a computer diagnosis
