A flashing S light on a Honda Accord generally indicates that the vehicle speed sensor has failed and set a code on the transmission computer. You will need to replace the speed sensor, which will be located on the transmission housing near one of the output shafts.

This indicates a transmission problem. However, the computer may just need reset. You can try having it reset (it takes special tools). If this doesn't work, and the transmission is shifting strangely, the computer may need replaced or the transmission may need rebuilt.

I hope "S" is a service light and if your car is not shifting then please check your transmission fluid. If it is low then add it in some more. in maximun this will be the solution in most of the accord LX cars. If not so, then problem is definitely with the transmission..

The flashing S means that you have a problem with your power steering system (S for steering). Check your power steering fluid level, thats probably it.

Basically the "S" is a type of warning light. It means there is an electrical problem in the transmission system. Tho find out what is wrong you need to retrieve the code. Jumper the two terminals on the service check connector. This will make the light blink out the trouble code. Then look up the code.
