You can look on line, call the transfer agent for the company you are interested in or call a local investment company for a current price.

A simple search on the stock exchange for its ticker symbol will tell you. A search of the full company name in Google will also yield its current stock price.

The stock is only worth what the quote price is at any given moment that you check the price. Enter the stock symbal or company name on most any financial site.

Look at the P/E ratio. Any stock can have a good price, but if it's PE ratio isn't in line, don't get it. GEnerally a number between 10 and 20 will show you what the stock is worth. The PE is the Price to EArnings ratio. It shows if the stock is overprice.
