You can visit the State Treasurer's website to find all unclaimed property, including cash. Or simply contact the administrator, Shirley Fowler at 919-508-1000. Hope this is helpful!

You can research it online or in one of the many books at the local library. You could also look for cash and ask around to see if anyone claims it. If no one claims it then it will then be called "unclaimed" and that is how you find it.

Contact your local Department of State Treasurer, In this case, North Carolina to see about the details of what they call 'Missing Money'. There you can learn all about unclaimed money or unclaimed property and see just what you can do to claim it on your own.
