Judgements are issued through the court following a court proceeding. You need to check with the clerk of the appropriate court. If this is a judgment against you or property lien check with the clerk's index, land recorder or tax records.

You can view the case file at the civil clerk's office. That file will include all documents filed for that case. Also, many courts list some basic case information online. Moreover, if you have a judgement rendered against you, you will be mailed a copy of the judgement.

The person obtaining it will have previously filed a complaint against you; by the time a judgment is filed, you should have received court papers.

Judgments are registered with the court that granted them and are available to the public. They are sometimes recorded publically and that can be a source, too. Like a newspaper.
