In short, you can't. These are incredibly well protected and rare animals (they are not lizards). There are very few zoos in the United States that have them. Tuataras are incredibly interesting animals and would be an amazing addition to even the most extensive reptile collection. However, in our lifetimes you will never see one in a personal collection.

Check zoos for the ability to be in the presence of an actual sphenodontid, these are rare and endangered animals and are not legally/morally sold to private collectors.
