Its as simple as calling the police. Get copies of the checks you believed are forged and turn them over to police. Also let your bank know what's going on. They have your "official" signature on file and can compare the two. Once you file a police report they can look into it further.

Usually, an individual is not the person who files charges. Talk with your local police department and show them your proof, and tell them that you want them to file charges.

If someone has signed your name to checks without your permission you need to go to the local police department and file a claim with them in addition to contacting your bank and letting them know what is going on. It will help if you have a letter from your bank acknowledging the forgery.
