If you are simply an individual and not a company, corporation or anything of the like, in any state your Federal Tax ID Number will always be your Social Security Number.

Your tax ID number is your social security number. If you are asking about any company that you have founded, you should have been provided a tax ID number when you registered with the state. If you did not register with the state, you need to do so to stay in compliance with state laws.
