How do I draw cool air from a furnace fan?

To draw cool air from your furnace fan you have to install a cool air return vent and set the furance to cold. The vent has to pull cool air from a source. The basement is usually a great place to pull coool air from becuase hot air will rise.

I don't know if that can be done. In my house, the furnace fan would always be set to warm the rooms, we had to buy an additional Air Conditioner to cool our house. However, not all furnaces are the same, so, have a Gas/Electric professional come and check the furnace fan for you.

To draw cool air from a furnace fan you have to let it run. Running the furnace fan can result in a higher electricity bill.
