Probably the most respected price guide is the one published by Beckett Publications. It comes out annually and monthly and is available at most bookstores.

The best way to determine the value of cards is to purchase a price guide. However, most collectors will not purchase a card unless it has been graded by an established company. Beckett Grading Services is one of the more well-known services. You mail them your card and they grade it for you.
