A dissolution of a partnership is when one partner wants out of the relationship. Dissolution is the terminating, or ending, of the partnership. The date of dissolution is the documented day of the ending of the partnership.

A business (corporation, LLC, etc. ) is registered in a particular State. The Secretary of State for that state will have details on the business, including date of dissolution. You need to know the exact name of the business, the name of the State where registered, and the type of registration. Helpful info - name of owner(s).

If you are referencing the date of dissolution when referring to a business, then it would be the day the business dissolved with the Secretary of State's Office.
