A W-2 is a form filed every year on your income, total earnings, and deductions for dependents. Everyone should receive a w-2 form each year from every job they have had during the year, including part time positions. It should be mailed to your address by the employer. An identical copy will be sent by them to the IRS.

W-2 are issued to employees each year after January 1 but before January 31. If you had a job in the previous year and payroll taxes were deducted, you have a W2 coming to you. Whether someone else has paid payroll taxes is not subject to public review.

This question is unclear- are you checking to see if you are owed a w-2? In order to check this out you will need to contact the company's HR Department.

An easy way to know is to contact the employer. All employees are required to submit w2 and inform the employer by the required date. In some cases the employer himself collect data from employees and do it from the office. This is done to ensure that all employees follow the instructions.
