First you must remove the valve covers and then the head bolts. Sometimes it is necessary to remove the rocker arms to get to some bolts.

Use a socket, extension and ratchet to remove the old one. Be Careful Not To Strip The Threads! There is thread locker on the bolt so use steady torque. Once you have it out, apply blue thread locker to the threads of the new bolt and torque to spec.

To change a head bolt all you need to do is remove and replace the bolt. But I recommend if you broke a bolt to replace all of them as a set. If you remove them and do not lift the head you will not need a new head gasket

Use a torque wrench, unbolt it, and check it for wear. This is where everyone goes wrong, Replacing it and making sure it doesn't cross thread. Clean it and finger tighten it. Use the torque wrench to to tighten it to specifics. RTV Sealant is going to be your friend on replacing any bolts.

I assume it is broken just flush with the head. Get a 1/2 nut set it on the head over the stud then weld the inside of the nut to the stud. let it cool and then unscrew

Well if you just need to replace one head bolt simply remove it and install the new one. The threads may need to be tapped to clean out any old thread sealant used previously. Once the bolt is installed it should be torqued following factory procedure to it final spec.

If all of them are broke then you would have to replace new ones for them all. Take valve cover from the motor and the lifters springs off. Repair the broken bolts and put everything back together again. retorque to the correct spec.

If you would like to change the head bolt on a Chevrolet Camaro, you first make sure the engine is cold. You take a wrench, and unscrew the bolt.
