Yes, you can burn a song to a cd-rw, but it will only be recognized on cd players that allow for playback off an rw disk. To burn with windows media player, all you need to do is insert the blank disk into your computer, and click on the burn column, and follow the instructions thereafter.

First put a CD-R or CD-RW in the slot in your computer that does the burning. Then open Windows media player and there is a tab that says burn at the top. Move tracks to the right side that you want to burn, drag and click method. Click burn.

Open Windows media player, click "Burn", and insert a cd. A cdrw will work but may not play in some devices. Then copy the songs to the list and burn.

To burn in Windows media player all you have to do is click on the "Burn" tab at the top of the window. Then drag the files into the burn list. Finally click on burn. You should be able to use either CD-R's or CD-RW's however CD-RW's won't play in some cd player.

If you want to burn MP3s onto a blank CD, purchase CD-Rs or CD-RWs (depending on your hardware). Go to Library in WMP, drag your files over, click Burn.
