You'll need to visit your local pond supply store to get liner and a filtration system. You'll want to get a pump that moves the volume of water over at least ten times per hour. Remember that the shape of a barrel lacks surface area for the amount of gallons it holds, so do not overstock it!

You can use a whiskey barrel, however, you can purchase a half barrel from a landscape store also. Once you decide on the type of barrel you'd like, you need to line the barrel with heavy triple lined plastic. Fill the barrel with water plants and fish. Enjoy your pond.

The first thing is to clean the barrell. Then u must use pond liner in the entire barrel. Put something heavey on bottom to hold down. You must have several plants in order to oxygenate water such as canna reed cattail and some soil.

You can put in a filter and a way for the water to move about. It is important to put rocks in the bottom of the barrel and have proper ways for the water to be oxygenated. You then can put the water in and the fish. Just feed the regularly.

Well you can use any barrel that is big enough to house the goldfish and big enough for it to swim around. You can add plants in there.

It is not advisable to make a gildfish pond out of a whiskey barrel. Since the barrel isn't see-thru, light would not be able to penetrate the sides and with such a small surface area, it just wouldn't work. You are better off digging out a hole in the ground.

Well your gonna want some kind of lining so that the water does not leak and so that the fish dont die from the chemicals in the wood from the barrel. Then what I would do is dig a hole drop it in and put a solar water pump in there so it keeps the water some what fresh
