Make sure that all four cats get equal attention so one or more do not feel left out. Bring the cat home on a day that you have all day to monitor it to make sure they get along with each other.

It would be best to keep the cat in a separate room for it's own safety and introduce one cat at a time to monitor for reactions. It is usually around a two week period for adjustments.

Well the other cats may not like the new cat at first but they will eventually get used to him and start to play together. One thing you can do to get them used to each other is let them share the same food bowl or plate and then they have to tolerate one another.

First, make sure she checks out, healthwise, with your vet. Keep her in a separate bedroom for a while so your other cats will be able to smell her without making contact. After a few days, you might let her interact with the most easy-going cat first. Once he accepts her, you can add another cat, then finally the third.

You will need to introduce them slowly, first through a door, then in a room, then around the food and water.
