How do I bleed an old hot water radiator?

There should be a air tap like on modern radiators, on some models these were screwed so if damaged they can be replaced

first do central switching off, With this bleed key handy, locate the bleed valve. It is placed top of a radiator in the bleed valve and turn it counterclockwise. As you turn the radiator key, the valve will open and hissing sound will occur, it is air escaping sound. then waters leak out of the radiator, then close the valve.
