In order to become an anesthesiologist you'll need to receive a degree from an accredited medical school. Apply to an anesthesiology residence program which requires an additional four years of training.

You have to first become a doctor. This means completing both college and medical school. Then, you must be accepted into and complete a residency program in anesthesiology. After that, you have to pass some tests to prove your skills and knowledge.
