A hurricane hunting team consists of the pilot and flight crew, many of which have meteorological training and backgrounds. The aircraft and flight personnel are usually military. The US Air Force and US Navy participate in these missions, as well as NOAA. Missions fly into the storm to collect data that satellites cannot.

Hurricane Hunters work for the U. S. Air Force Reserve. You will need a high school diploma. Then talk to the reserve recruiter in your town or at your high school. You will have to take a military qualification test and pass a physical. You will attend basic training, and then special school for Hurrican Hunters.

I would suggest you first contact someone in the field. Then you would need to contact the Air Force Reserve and see if you are qualified for the position.
