How do I adjust the power valves for a Honda CR125R?

These valves are self adjusting and will probably need replaced if you are going to adjust. Otherwise you will want to get in and replace the shims as that is the only way to adjust.

You can not and should not adjust the power valves for any Honda vechile. They are factory set and changing those settings could be deadly.

To adjust the valve, loosen the adjusting spring lock nut. Turn the adjusting screw in just until it touches the upper cam, then turn it another 1/8 turn. Look at the valve. If it's closed all the way, tighten the lock nut. Back out the adjusting screw until it closes, then tighten the lock nut. Then put it back together.

You need to tighten the adjusting spring locknut. This is located in the right side of the cylinder. If the valve is open adjust the screw until it closes.

These are self adjusting, You will need to replace them. You can replace the shim for this is the only way to adjust them.

Normally these valves are self adjusting but you can adjust them yourself. However be warned you can't reset them to a factory setting and should consult a mechanic before you alter these.
