Remove the air intake hose and search for the adjustment screw. The intake valve should be closed when idling. Inspect the intake valve for debris and ensure the valve is clean.

You'll need a pair of feeler gauges to do this, and set the clearance to factory spec (check service manual). Remove the valve cover, and rotate the crankshaft until the camshaft is not lifting the exhaust or the intake valve. Using a screwdriver and wrench loosen the valve lash adjuster, and check clearance with your feeler gauge.

You need to get everything out of your way and remove the rocker covers. The motor should be put at top dead center for the side your going to adjust. Then you use a feeler gauge on top of the valves and turn the adjustment nut until it is within specs. Repeat on the other side and re-assemble.

Take the intake hose off and look for the screw.Check the valve for any debris. As your car is running adjust the screw. Should be closed while idling.

First take the valve cover off.Use a long handle breaker bar to move the engine .through the crank shaft .shims is what the factory uses to do this .And it has to be done right so you dont mess any other parts up. What you want to do is check for play in the values.

If you are not mechanically inclined take to a shop. Or you can buy the repair manual for this spacific vehicle and follow instructions, all the specs are there.
