How difficult is it to replace the headlight in a Pontiac Grand Am?

I was shocked when I got an estimate for the work. I'd like to try to fix it myself.

Replacing the head lamp for the your pontiac is not difficult at all, but doing it yourself is the cost of the head lamp is just as great. Depending on the model of your pontiac model you may need to remove the bumper of your vehicle. To remove the head lamp all you need to do is remove the 2screws

If you mean simply change the bulb then it is pretty straightforward. Once you find the socket you can usually remove it by hand and replace the bulb. The old one should slide out and the new one can be installed. Then reinstall the socket back into the housing and repeat for the other side.

it should not be to difficult to replace it usually all it is is a couple of bolts that hold it in you might need to aim your headlights after though but other than that it is very simple to replace

the bulb screws in from the back, twist the black ring behind the headlight, the bulb is behind there. After the old buld is out, look for the clip on the one side to unlock it, replace the bulb and realign the new bulb, do not touch the bulb it will burn out faster.
