It is not difficult at all. You will first need to remove the tire to expose the brakes. Then inspect the other parts to be sure that the brakes is all needing replacement. Slide of the old drum parts and replace it with the new drum parts. Then replace the tire.

Replacing the brake drum depends on the size of your hands and techniques. If you have big hands, it's easier to jack up the car and remove both the nuts and tire. Another tip is you should grab the drum by the edges and pull it off very carefully. For Ford Taurus, you might have to remove the screws first.

Very easy. Remove rear wheels then remove metal clips on studs. Tap brake drum gently between studs to loosen brake drums and pull towards you until you clear brake shoes.
