Like any axle that is contained in a chunk style system it can be difficult to replace because of what other damage it could have caused to the axle housing. Removal of the axle is straight forward and simple but identifying other problem take a good eye and should be looked at by a professional.

It is actually pretty hard to be doing it yourself. I would say it would take you several non stop hours. Take it to the garage and you can get it done.
